Mission

We provide low-cost or free medical primary medical and dental care for working uninsured individuals and their families in East Tennessee. We are committed to preventive and restorative care, and helping the social and economic wellbeing of our community by keeping people healthy as they pursue their career, education, and family ambitions.

We offer an effective, targeted, cost-efficient model for primary care, relying on our extensive network of community relationships, the good will of our regional clinical providers, grants, and donations. These help the Kim Health Center deliver an equitable response for the uninsured and empower economic independence. We’ve been delivering high-quality healthcare for the underserved since 1993. Primary Care & Dental Services

Not feeling well or just need an annual exam?
Whether you're sick or in need of a routine exam, let the Kim Health Center help.

We are also partnered with Knoxville Area Project Access (KAPA), a network of physicians to help those without insurance.


Checkups

Annual Check-up & Physicals

Chronic Disease help: Diabetes, Hypertension (high blood pressure), Cholesterol, and Thyroid disorders, including regular monitoring, prescription adjustment, and patient health education.

Seasonal acute episodic conditions such as upper respiratory infections in winter and allergy/sinus complaints in spring and summer.

Women’s Health: Pregnancy testing, gynecological check-ups, annual PAP smear, prenatal checkup.

Mammograms and Lung Screening Event days.

Patient Eligibility Requirements

To receive our medical care, please make sure you meet these requirements.

Current employment (there is no minimum or maximum income level for eligibility)

No medical insurance

Photo Identification (i.e. Driver’s License, Passport or State Identification Card)


These three requirements may not be waived. If an individual is employed, their spouse, and uninsured dependent children aged 19-24 (e.g. college students) are eligible. The clinic does not see individuals on any type of disability/SSI or any type of assistance.

Patient Reminders

Bring a Photo ID and Verification of Employment to your appointment. A pay stub is the preferred Verification of Employment.

Other proof (such as a copy of a paycheck or a letter from the employer ) is acceptable. If you are unemployed and your spouse or parent is working, the spouse’s or parent’s employment must be verified. Individuals who are self-employed must verify employment by showing proof of current income. This may be done by copies of checks paid to the business, copies of receipts given by the business, and similar items.

You must show you have current self-employment income. A driver’s license is the preferred Photo ID.

Please bring a list of all current medications.
